The nearest I'd ever been with a clear view of the island and the five floating platforms. Slap bang in front the southern platform this year. A good place for the more artistic moments of the show. But all art and design went right out of the window as we approached the climax. The last 5 minutes were deafening and people were grabbing hold fearing the worst as bits of burning firework rained down upon us all on the beach. Spain at its best!
